How do I create a separate visitors list (or roster) - separate from the member list (whose names appear as possible participants on the Duty Roster)? I want to be able to send emails to the visitors (only).
THANKS |

I have put visitors in the list, with a comment to that effect, and set their email address to nobody@freetoasthost.org
I also carry expired members for some period of time.
This is particulary useful if Guests or other non-members (such as visiting members and Area/District people sign up for roles at the meeting)
Since the Duty roster (and the Roster History) only works with people on the list, they must be in the list!
It might be useful to add some membership "status" attributes to the list db. Things like "Active Member?" and "Send member email?" |

Sending to nobody@freetoasthost.com is a great suggestion Dave. I have similar situations for guests. Thanks for sharing |

Please explain to me how does email addressed to nobody@freetoasthoast get to the person you wish to contact? ??????????????? (%) (%)
And how do you prevent a non-member of your club from posting on your wbsite? |

The point is that you don't send club email to such guests, you deal with them directly on a need to know. I think the website wants an email address but that may be incorrect.
Non-members cannot post to the club if they a) don't know they have an account (e.g. you don't send them a welcome note - see above) and b) you don't tell them the password. If you are worried about that, set it to something random.

Thank you. I might just try that out as we do have some fairly regular outsiders visiting our club to perform some functions. An example of course would be the division or district governor. :) |
