Q. Our local ISP has blocked Freetoasthost mail server due to spam. What can you do?

A. Running web hosting companies for the last 10 years, one thing I do know is mail administrators do not hesitate to block entire networks if they think they are a source of spam. Unfortunately, most mail administrators are fooled by clever spammers who forge the "from" address. This is a common virus/spam technique. When this happens, mail that appears to come from "freetoasthost.xxx" is really coming from other servers, yet "freetoasthost.xxx" is blocked. This is an ERROR on the mail administrator's part and they need to correct it by unblocking freetoasthost.

Because this happens so often, we cannot chase down every ISP that does this -- most of them will not listen to us anyway. It is up to you, the customer of the local ISP, to demand it be unblocked and let them know that you are missing "urgent mail". This action will get results.
